Zhejiang Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower is located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is the only university jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and jointly managed by the Department of Water Resources of Zhejiang Province and the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province. It is one of the three hydraulic engineering universities in China, the pilot undergraduate college of Zhejiang Province to strengthen application-oriented construction, the demonstration university of Zhejiang Province, and the governing unit of China CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
